DAYBYDAY with Will and Dave on HBO

We just completed a mini show for HBO called DAYBYDAY with Will and Dave. We were invited to do the project through Funny or Die who teamed up with HBO to create 10 original half hour shows. Our mini segment consists of 5 sketches and an animation with a run time right under 15 minutes and we're really excited about it.

The folks heading the project at FOD didn't censor any of our ideas and we came up with some ridiculous material. They really let us get away with some over the top shit that surprised even us. Of course we can't say much about the sketches on here because we don't want to give anything away, but we're posting these production pics to give you all a little peak.

We don't know many details about the project yet of who else is on board and when it's going to air, so check back as we'll post them as soon as we know.

Stupidface Season 2 is now airing

Stupidface Season 2 is now airing, check your local listings for airtime's and reruns. The show airs on FUEL TV not FUSE, a common mistake made by everyone. We shot sketches for 13 new episodes but the big guys at the network decided to break everything up into two new seasons. Season 3 is set to air in May but that is subject to change, we'll keep you posted. Here are some stills from our sketches airing on season 2. Seth Turns 30

Our good friend Seth turned the big 30 on Saturday and we were happy to help him get started on the more mature years of his life. We went out for drinks to celebrate and continued back at the daybyday house after the bars closed. It wasn't long before Seth made the fatal mistake of passing out on our living room floor, thank you so much for doing that Seth. We took about 300 photos throughout the night and the last one when he jumped in the shower in the morning. We were hoping he wouldn't notice the paint on his face when we took him out to breakfast, but I guess the word rapist in bright red across his hand gave it away. Happy Birthday Seth.

NBC footage that will probably never be seen

Recently we were interviewed for a Caught On Tape show on NBC. The basis of the show was about viral videos and whether or not they are real or fake. They wanted to ask us some questions about the DMV prank. Those shows are pretty cheesy so we decided to help them spice it up a bit, but they didn't seem to to like our help very much. The people at NBC asked to do the interview at our house which we agreed to happily, and a date and time was set. The night before the shoot we grabbed as many props as we could to make our back drop for the interview. Some of the better pieces were the severed arm holding the hammer on the wall and the tacked up jock strap.

It took us about two hours to get ourselves dressed before they arrived. We made our outfits out of black trash bags and duct tape and bought those lame shades from American Apparel. Dave wrapped tin foil over one hand to make a mitt and Will duct taped a shoe to his.

They seemed a little amused when they arrived, but that quickly changed. We answered all their questions as art-fashion snobs. Dave was asked to take off his glasses and do the interview again. Sure no problem, because Will had drawn eyeballs on top of Dave's eye lids earlier so he closed his eyes and re-did the interview, she really wasn't feeling it. Will did his interview next and the whole time he was using his shoe hand to make gestures while he talked. Dave couldn't look at him anymore for fear of losing it and ruining the interview so he ran and hid in the kitchen to control his laughter.

After the interview they wanted us to walk around our neighborhood and re-answer the questions "Not so much in character", they didn't think what we did would be usable. We told them no, take it or leave it that's just how we do things. I'm judging by the lack of response from our phone calls and emails that they're leaving it. It's a shame because it would have been really funny. Hopefully they will decide to air it at some point, if not I at least hope it surfaces on youtube someday.

You should listen to the song first and then read the two letters below. One is from some bullshit spam company and the other is a response that Will wrote back to them. Dear Music Company,

I seriously doubt that you viewed my profile and listened to our songs. I also doubt that you are prepared to give me a record deal. The reason that I say that is because if you had listened to our songs you would know that our hit song is about a guy named Will who poops in his best friend Dave's shoe. As revenge Dave rapes Will in his sleep but Will then informs Dave that he has aids. Later, Dave tells Will that he cuts Will's aids infected penis off after raping him and used the cut off penis as a "strap-on" to rape Will's mother and sister with. Will confesses to fornicating Dave's grandmother to death and Dave confesses to cutting up Will's aids infected penis in a pan with eggs and bacon and feeding it to him. Will tells Dave that he knew he was eating his own penis the whole time, and that it tastes surprisingly great. Will and Dave laugh and become friends again. So this is why I thought it was weird at first that you would be interested in The Country Fuks as a new and upcoming artist for you to give a record contract, but then I remembered how mother fucking awesome we are. So thank you for you're letter! But no thanks, it is obvious that you are just another spam sending piece of shit company wasting it's time on myspace that doesn't even listen to the music in the first place.

OLD NEWS: March 10 2008

Not too much has happened here in the last week. Will and I have been writing and working on new ideas for Stupidface Season 2. We're getting really excited about it. We need new music for new sketches. We always need new music, preferably smaller bands on smaller labels. Sorry Nickel Back you guys are just too big for us now. OLD NEWS: March 6 2008

It's amazing how things can work out. A few yeas back the General Assembly was voting on a bill that would increase penalties for certain types of graffiti. The measure proposed would set a mandatory minimum fine of $500 for graffiti that is more than 20 feet off the ground, on a railroad or highway overpass, or is gang related.

Our friend Mickael Broth was arrested in Richmond Va for graffiti a few years back. He was convicted of painting on a CSX railroad bridge over 295, among other things. The cost of repainting the bridge was $7000 (How it cost that much to paint over a rusty train bridge is ridiculous in itself, really it could have been done fore a few hundred bucks). Young Mr. Broth spent 11 months in jail for painting on that bridge, in fact he spent his 21st birthday in jail.

Since then Mike has served his time (and then some) and paid his fines. In the last few weeks Mike won the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Fellowship Award. Now he goes in front of the General Assembly to be honored by the same people who were voting on a bill based on Mikes arrest three years ago. He is also getting a grant for $8000 for the award. So I guess that puts Mike up $1000 bucks. Mike you never would have saved that much money anyway you goddamn son of a bitch, you better think about it baby. This past week Mike also had 4 pieces accepted into the Contemporary Art Center of Virginia In Virginia Beach. That show opens April 11th and goes until the end of June.

I asked Mike what he is going to do with his hard earned prize money..."I think I'm gonna use the money to build a large garage in the backyard to build a mini ramp inside so that I can skate any time day or night, rain or shine." Finally we have started shooting again. It's been slow since we moved out here, and we've been dying to get rolling on something. We've done a few small things here and there but this sketch is one we are very excited about. Well we're always excited about a new sketch or we don't shoot it, so I don't know why I'm saying we're excited. The long haired dude in the pics with us is Andre Hyland. He is another segment producer on the show Stupidface and does a lot of cool shit. Check out his site and http://www.blondchili.com We are going to colab on more things together in the future. The other hunk in the brown is John Martin, he is our main camera, sound, lighting man and an awesome dude, thanks John for all your help. This sketch is being shot in Topanga near Malibu, the place is fucking beautiful. Season 2 of Stupidface wont be airing until July I believe, so this is all you get for now. Don't worry we'll have some other new sketches for your eyes to see soon.

Last night was Will's birthday. He's been telling me for weeks now that all he's ever wanted in life was to meet a real pirate. Dreams do come true William. At the moment this picture was taken Will was telling the pirate he wanted to become one too. The pirate told Will he would talk to the other pirates and see what he could do, and to keep growing out his beard.

Our good friend Lander from Richmond stopped by our house for a few days before he and his lady headed to Las Vegas to get married. Congratulations Lander and new lady who does have a name Stacy.

Another friend of ours from Richmond named Ryan, who plays in Darkest Hour came through. Thank you guys for the entertainment, booze and free pizza. Thanks everybody from home who have already come out to see us.

This is our new friend and roommate Christ Lambert. Pro skater, professional stuntman, and one of the nicest people we have ever met. That is not his knee cap, it's a wound from a stunt he did at a bar. The other pics were taken at our new house. Our good friend Sean Harrington has opened Main Tattoo on Main Street in Richmond Va. It's a very friendly little shop, walk ins welcome. Sean has done designs for Daybyday in the past. He is also a firm believer in UFO's, Aliens, and many assorted conspiracy theories. Stop by his shop, tell him the Daybyday guys sent you and they said he would give you a discount. He probably wont, but it's worth a try. His wife Valerie wont let us perm his hair, but he will be coming to visit us soon and she will be left at home. So, we're moving to California not sure for how long, we got an opportunity to work on some projects out there and we're going to handle our shit. Richmond is home to daybyday. Thanks to everyone who came out to our going away party at Empire and everyone who has supported us all along we wouldn't be here without you. We're still working on the Avail documentary, we just did their last tour with them. People always want to know when the documentary will be done. We have no idea. Documentaries are stories that tell themselves. We just know that when it feels right we'll put it together. Thanks again from everyone who has given us footage and old photos of Avail and all the people who are as excited as we are about the project.
